The Ashford Town concept was born out of discussions surrounding ‘Smart Cities’. Smart Cities use sensors and technology to gather data and analyse it to improve the day to day lives of people. We wanted to create a concept which combined ‘smart city’ technology with other features and functionality which would provide value to its users. For example, this could be live traffic updates, the inclusion of train timetables an events calendar and much more.
